Sam is a 24 year old singer/songwriter from Essex.
He’s been performing since he was eight and he started writing his own music when he was just twelve. Intent, even then, on pursuing a career in the music industry.
Just prior to leaving the Sylvia Young Theatre School at 16, he was signed by ex-Spice Girl, Gerri Halliwell and pop mogul Simon Fuller to be in a new teen pop band. Frustrated at not being able to perform the music he was writing, Sam broke from the band in 2012 to forge his own solo career.
Sam is a great showman, with a remarkable work ethic, great determination and dedication. He has worked tirelessly to build an active fan base consisting of thousands of loyal supporters which have dubbed themselves ‘Callafans’. Today he has a social media following of almost 1,000,000 fans.
In 2013 Sam made it through to the live finals of the UK’s X Factor and after getting to the final six he earned his place on the X Factor Arena Tour.
Sam says “The X Factor was an incredible experience but it wasn’t an entirely true representation of who I really am. Now I need to show the world what I’m really about and who I am as an artist in today’s music industry”.
Since then, Sam has been performing as an artist non-stop to packed venues all around the world.
In April 2016 Sam released his debut ‘House’ track ‘I Love It WhenYou’ which went to number 5 on iTunes. After such chart success he proceeded to perform in clubs across the globe.
Last year in 2017 Sam embarked on a 34 date packed out theatre tour joined by X Factor winner Joe Mcelderry. Which was followed only earlier this year by Sam Callahan’s very own successful headline tour of the UK.
In 2018 Sam has released 3 singles and even managed to land himself a Top 100 chart place with his single, ‘Burns Like Fire’.
When asked about the star’s most recent single and allegedly, his best received release to date ‘Stitches and Scars’, Sam said: “Stitches and Scars is a song that I created with 100% real, raw emotion at a time when I was probably in the most vulnerable place I’ve ever been. However my experiences have taught me that we’re not all perfect and that we have to accept and own our little flaws and quirks, after all, they are what make us who we are! Hence the lyric in the song, ‘Would I really be me without my stitches and scars?”.
Sam says, “My music comes straight from the heart, all written and composed by myself, there couldn’t be a better representation of myself as an artist.’
Planning to release new music after selling out Headline gig in London in November 2018, Sam’s had a busy holiday season and had big things planned for 2019.
Sam is a very busy young man with a bright future!
